Sounds like summer! I've got a couple of leeks in my veggie drawer just screaming to be chopped into a good soup. It has been a wild week of weather here, 80 degrees on Tuesday, thunderstorms and TORNADO warnings on Wednesday! We had a frog-drowning rainstorm on Thursday. Tornados are not frequent in the Northwest, but we have had little ones that flatten trees sometimes, so this is unusual. Definitely soup weather! I pulled up the whole lettuce crop today because of slugs. It is going to be a buggy, sluggy garden this year. Washed every leaf and saved what I could in Tupperware. Thanks for the idea, I am going to make soup tomorrow. M

Favorite tangible things:
- owl keychain my friend Luz (@luzbonita) (it's a keychain/coin purse w/room for troll fare)
- Any handwritten (heartfelt) note from a friend or family member (I keep most of the ones I've received), especially if it comes in the mail!
- My camera and capturing "the moment" and the wonderful photos & memories that I have of dear friends
